About the Author:
Madelain Farah was born in Portland, Oregon, to Lebanese
parents.
As
a young girl, she spent hours in the kitchen
watching her mother cook. In an effort to capture her mother's
"a pinch of this" or "a little of that"
technique, she has recreated more than 200 authentic recipes for Lebanese
Cuisine.
Lebanese Cuisine includes the best of what Middle Eastern
cuisine has to offer, such as Arabic Bread, Lentil Soup, and
Eggplant Salads; Baked Fish with Tahini Sauce, Supreme Lamb
Stew with Kibbi, and the classic Cucumber Yogurt Salad;
Baklawa, Farina Squares, and Spiced Rice Pudding. Complete
with a glossary of Lebanese terms and suggested menus, Lebanese
Cuisine will be a welcome addition to every cook's library.
Fans of Lebanese Cuisine have said the following in
praise of the book:
"Best book I have seen on authentic
Lebanese home cooking.… It's a classic!"
